AMANDA MICHELE BROWN
Amanda Michele Brown’s colorful abstract works explore the disparate experiences tied to memories. She uses pattern to form order and structure around loose forms in the same way we build personal identity and narratives to explain our lives and identities. Her artwork is a meditation on time, building layer upon layer and adding a connection with intricate mark-making. Through this practice she breaks down the memory into components of structure and flow, transforming the random into something more, just as a memory is not the actual experience but becomes our truth.
