Mary Kathryn Monday: A Love Song to Paris

Mary Kathryn Monday.jpeg

Mary Kathryn Monday, mezzo-soprano, is excited to return to 440 Gallery to sing a program of some favorite contemporary songs and arias, inspired by the work of watercolorist Joy Makon. MK and Joy met several years ago while they both worked for the Apple Store by Lincoln Center. MK had an exciting 2018-2019 season singing in Stinney: An American Execution with the Prototype Festival, joining the roster of Opera on Tap, and performing King Egeo in Handel's Teseo in the NY Opera Fest. Other past highlights include Charlotte (Werther), Maddalena (Rigoletto), and Flora (La Traviata) with Golden Rose Opera, La suora infermiera (Suor Angelica) with Chelsea Opera, and Queen Gertrude (Hamlet) with Cantanti Project. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Furman University and a certificate in French from New York University. She continues her vocal studies with Carol Yahr. Stay in touch and say hello at mkmonday.com!
