440 Gallery announces the Call for Entries for the 20th annual Small Works Show 2024. This national, juried exhibition celebrates the innovation of artists who create work on a small scale in a broad range of media and styles. The exhibition will be on display in the 440 Gallery, Park Slope, Brooklyn space from November 14 to December 20, 2024.

ABOUT THE CURATOR

We are delighted to have Pam Wong (she/her), as this show’s juror. A Brooklyn-based writer and curator who loves contemporary art, collaborating with artists, and building community, Wong started Art Hag, a blog highlighting artists and exhibits in NYC and beyond in 2009. For three years, she was a reporter for Bklyner.com where she covered arts, culture, and local news in northwest Brooklyn neighborhoods including Park Slope and Gowanus.

Pam has curated the art programming for the Gowanus Dredgers Boathouse since 2022, showcasing work by local artists and attracting visitors to the community space on the Gowanus waterfront.

She was Special Projects Director for Arts Gowanus (April 2023–June 2024) where she worked to promote, support, and advocate for local artists and the creative community.
