440 Gallery’s monthly concert series, curated by Michel Gentile, presents Charlie Burnham in a late-afternoon performance of solo violin. Burnham has a highly imaginative style that crosses genres, including bluegrass, delta punk, blues, classical and chamber jazz. A leader in The Odyssey Band ensemble, he has performed and recorded with musicians such as Cassandra Wilson, James Blood Ulmer, Wynton Marsalis and Henry Threadgill to name a few. Charlie can often be found playing at Brooklyn venues and frequents Barbes, Bar Lunatico, Sunny’s Bar and The Owl.
