Brooklyn-based writer Hafizah Geter is a Cave Canem Fellow whose work has appeared in RHINO, Narrative Magazine, Gulf Coast, Boston Review, Brooklyn Magazine, and Los Angeles Review of Books. As poetry editor at Phantom Books, she co-curates the reading series EMPIRE with Ricardo Maldonado. Her other credits include serving on the Board of VIDA: Women in the Literary Arts and on organizing committees for the Brooklyn Book Festival.
