Me, Myself, and Eye: Michel Gentile

Flutist Michel Gentile is a dynamic member of the New York jazz scene where he has performed and composed for dance, theater, film, radio and television. A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, Gentile has appeared with Joe Lovano, Fred Hersch, Kurt Rosenwinkle, Yusef Lateef and with his collaborative trio, WORKS. Downbeat Magazine named his 2013 release “Works” one of the best albums of the year. In addition to curating 440 Gallery’s “Me, Myself and Eye” series, Gentile has been teaching for over 30 years at all levels. He takes special pride in his work in public schools and with preschoolers with special needs at the Helen Keller School for the Visually Impaired.
