Avram Fefer

Tim Keiper (doson ngoni, percussion) and Avram Fefer (tenor sax, soprano sax, bass clarinet) meet up for an afternoon concert collaboration coming from their mutual admiration for West African music. Both musicians have worked with master artists including Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Touré and Guinean balafon player Famoro Dioubate. Keiper and Fefer combine their influences to present original and traditional sounds based out of NYC all the way to Timbuktu. 

Tim Keiper has spent the past year on the road with reggae artist Matisyahu and currently teaches at NYU. In 2012, Avram Fefer founded the Resonant Sculpture Project, a series of solo musical interactions with the works of sculptor Richard Serra.
